What Makes Us Different?
Our Approach.  Our Expertise.

There are few programs that provide feeding services directly in the family's home.  Heartland does.  We're one of the nation's only service providers working exclusively in the family's home, where feeding problems occur.

The difference doesn't stop there.  At Heartland we're experts in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) a powerful analytical tool which enables us to formulate the right approach to each unique situation.

Early Intensive Feeding Intervention
The critical ingredient to success.

When children do not consume adequate nutrition, the effects on brain development can be serious and even permanent. The first few years of a child's life - especially between 9 and 36 months - are when most brain growth occurs, so early intervention is critical.

Intensive behavior analytic feeding programs enjoy high success rates nationwide (86-94%).  However, most of these programs are hospital based, requiring in-patient admission lasting from a few weeks to a few months.

At Heartland, however, we work in the family's home. A typical intensive case lasts approximately 2-3 weeks (about 80-100 meals), in order to meet all of our goals for a child.
